The younger Mau’s eyes widened considerably upon seeing Aelius, he was just so…big. Even being so little, the boy knew it wasn’t normal but it didn’t deter him in the least. Fearless and curious, he approached the man, having to tilt his head so far back he almost fell over in order to look at him. His small jaw was slack as he stared, seemingly fascinated. Finally, a soft giggle broke the silence and he stepped up, standing on one of the giant’s feet and clinging to his leg.
"If I sit on your shoulders, I could see really far!" he cried out, voice high with excitement. "Lift me up!"
// LOL I AM SO SORRY ABOUT NASUS, HAHAHAHAHA. I’M GOING TO GO SOAK MY HEAD NOW.

[[omfg i tried. Art is difficult today but it was fun. :’D]]
It was her long, dark hair that caught the attention of large silver eyes, even as she called out to him. Smiling, he immediately went up to her and reached out, pressing close to her legs as he wrapped his small arms around her thighs. “Pretty.” he said, giggling cutely as he nuzzled against her hip.
"Snuggle me?" he asked, looking up at her and meeting her emerald gaze. With the way he asked, one would think it was an incredibly important question.
Little as he was, he didn’t remember the explorer but that didn’t stop him from running excitedly up to him and tugging on one of his excess belts. It certainly was difficult to see how the small boy could grow up to be such a large man, his large silver eyes bright and happy, obviously lacking the experience his older self carried. The cheerful boy tossed his wavy, dark bangs from his eyes as he once again tugged on the piece of leather wrapped about Ezreal’s hips just to be sure he had the blonde’s attention before lifting his arms.
"Up! Pick me up, please!"
Under most circumstances, the soldier would have been in his room, locked away working on something or another, but as of late he’d come to resent being there and as a result, had taken to spending less time within the walls that held too many memories for him now. He hid it as best he could, the ongoing struggle inside, but if one knew him well enough, they could see his silver eyes were a bit jaded. Despite this, Mau did his best to appear normal and to shove all the mess down. He managed quite well, not looking any different than usual as he picked at his lunch, brows furrowed in thought.
The blacksmith’s soft footsteps were noticed, but didn’t pull his gaze up, the soldier figuring it was simply another passerby, until a familiar voice called out to him. Looking up, Mau gave a light smile and nodded.
"Of course, Mort." he replied, seeming to forget his meal for the moment. "How goes it? Are you settling in well?"
“Thanks,” he said, sitting down. Because of his height, he had to sit at an awkward angle, with his feet sticking out from under the table off to the side. After settling in, he pushed the menu away, simply waiting for a waiter before deciding what to eat. “I’m settling in very well, thank you. Life here is more luxurious than I had anticipated. I’d better find the gym before I go soft around the edges,” he said with a smile and a chuckle.
“The only problem is that the metal supplies were not topped off before I arrived, so I don’t have the iron and steel needed to make those… reinforcements you and Ezreal asked for,” Mortimier said. He reached into his breast pocket and pulled out a small notepad and pencil. “I promise not to bore you with too much business talk, but since we’re both here, I’d like to at least get the measurements of the bed you plan on ordering and when you will get it so that I can know when you need them finished.” Mort raised his amber eyes to the gun-metal of the summoner, waiting for a response.
The soldier curiously watched Mortimier sit, rather awkwardly due to his rather gifted height, his head tilted ever so slightly. Mau continued to pic at his food, though the action seemed more absentminded than anything and it appeared that he really hadn’t touched the food much. Now, he was distracted with the man before him and he gave a smile of amusement.
"Gym? I just work out in my room…but then I’m used to that sort of thing. I’ve never really had equipment, per se…." the man replied before finding himself bewildered at Mortimier’s next statement. His gunmetal eyes tracked the other’s movements, watching as he pulled out the notepad and paper while his mind tried to figure out what exactly the man was talking about. Of course, the mention of the bed settled it for him and he immediately flushed, realizing that Ezreal must have asked about the reinforcements….for rather obvious reasons.
Biting his lip, the soldier shifted, still flushed despite his best attempts to quell the embarrassment burning along his face. The previous absentminded motions of his utensil pushing his food around halted when he set it down and tapped his fingers on the table instead. Though he wasn’t aware of the apparent deal that had been made, he had been in the process of ordering a new frame, if only to get his mattress off the floor.
"Uh…well….it’s 72 by 84…" he said lightly, giving an incredibly sheepish smile as he tilted his head, the motion causing his ever growing bangs to shroud his silver eyes which he then tossed back out of annoyance.
Maury turned to the yordle, returning the smile with one of his own. His silver eyes looked Heimerdinger over, noting his changed appearance with a thoughtful hum.
"Looks like you changed things up a bit. And yes, thanks for letting me know, it’s good to see you… and especially good to see you without it being because of one bet or another." he said with a chuckle, slipping his hands into his pockets.
"Yes I decided to make a silent return to the drawing board and figure out something new for myself… I am quite pleased.. not too much but the hair was too much I suppose.. confusing people as it were.." Heimer smiled as he folded his arms. "Yes.. quite so.. though..I am sure we will meet often due to bets or so.." The yordle laughed as the D.I.N.G.R unfodled itself handing a sheet to the professor.
"Ah yes yes ! quite excellent !! " The yordle laughed returning it to the claw. "Please make sure you correct those few mistakes however.. , now where were we ?"
Chuckling the man smiled brightly, silver eyes scrutinizing the details of his new appearance, only to widen in surprise when the claw appeared from….his hair…it seemed. Maury’s jaw slackened slightly as he watched the claw with fascination, never having really seen a device so cleverly placed before. He supposed the machinery was somehow strapped to the yordles head and he definitely was impressed by it.
"Well that is certainly clever… no one would ever think of something like that." he said, eyes alight with curiosity as he stepped a bit closer. "Is it neurologically controlled? That’s such an interesting piece and yet it seems so simple at a glance. Well done, Heimerdinger."
"Not your average thug, I’ll tell you that much." She muttered through her teeth, slowly wrapping up her lower left arm in a heavy bandage to cover a rather deep gash that ran over the top of her arm.
A low rumble came from her throat as his hand held her chin, once again, not amused that he would touch her just to tell her she wasn’t a monster of any kind. ”I didn’t say anything about being a monster, Maury. Open your ears, you nit wit.” Nadri grumbled at him as his hand fell away and got up off the chair and dusted off her pants a bit. A quick sigh made itself known as she looked to him, seeing his gaze upon her arm once more.
"Eventually, you’re gonna ask again what got me, aren’t you?" She asked him with a snide tone in her voice, her eyes glowing that deep violet hue that has become the most prominent feature on her face.
He chuckled lightly, giving her a soft smile which was rather odd considering how he usually was rather stoic and displeased in her presence. “You don’t have to say it… I can feel it. Underneath it all, you think less of yourself because you aren’t technically physically human. While I do not understand this feeling, since I have never been put under such conditions, I do know the human need for reassurance, so I just thought I’d remind you that no matter what you think or what you are told, you are human.”
The soldier shrugged upon finishing, her tone bringing his gaze back up to her face, his brilliant silver eyes meeting the violet orbs he had come to know so well as of late. It seemed the man didn’t mind her unfriendliness, rather, he seemed to ignore it.
"Well, if you wouldn’t mind telling me, though I suppose at this point it makes little difference as long as the wound heals well."
The pink on her cheeks darkened as she shifted further away from the other and rolled to put her back to him again. That defenseless feeling started to sink in once more as Maury laid next to her on his bed. But he was right though, the heavy feeling of the exhaustion was hardly there and her reactions were less sluggish as well. ”Don’t apologize for what you thought was right…” She weakly muttered at him, clutching tightly to the blanket that was by her hands as her shoulders twitching at the silent irritable emotion that was slowly raging inside of her mind.
With no magic at her command, there was no easy way to simply walk away from what the summoner has done for her and it drove her crazy. Without warning, a rather loud growl was heard from the pit of her empty stomach, voicing it’s need for food. ”Gods…” There was the other draw back…with resent months, the lack of food intake has nearly stopped since fully realizing her potential as a Void touched that eating was something Nadri had forgotten about when no one mentions it.
Though he himself was mildly embarrassed, relief that Nadri was in fact better now settled into his mind and pushed out the other, less desirable feeling. Maury could sense the struggle in the other girl and he would have liked to say something but refrained, feeling that perhaps that was a bit too familiar of him…even despite the intimacy he had shown just before. He nodded slowly at her words, watching her carefully with gunmetal eyes that looked passed raven bangs beginning to get a bit too long for his taste.
The sound of Nadri’s stomach making it’s hunger known rather loudly brought a soft chuckle from the soldier’s throat as he slipped out of the bed and stretched, raising his arms above his head and arching his back with a soft grunt as the muscles tensed and then loosened. He cast silver eyes back to her form, smiling in amusement.
"I’ll return here shortly with something for you to eat." he said softly, long, graceful steps carrying him out the door before the Preserver could respond, a soft click accompanying said door closing.
Minutes passed in silence for the woman before the man returned, slipping back into the room with a tray carefully balanced in one hand while the other went out to shut the door behind him. Striding back over to the bed, he placed the tray next to her, making certain nothing would spill or otherwise be knocked out of place as he did so. The trey would contain a plate full of the usual breakfast foods, eggs, bacon and toast with a side of fruit and juice. Clearly the soldier wanted to be sure she had a good balanced meal, as well as satisfy her hunger.
"I hope this is to your liking."
9. Rough kiss
They were clearly arguing. Something about how much he hated her near Ezreal and how much Maury couldn’t keep the champion under control to prevent it. The verbal fighting continued on till the former summoner shoved him into a near by closet, closing the door hard behind them before roughly pushing him up against the back of the tiny room and pressed her lips into his. It seemed gentle at first, but then teeth made contact with the other’s lower lip, biting roughly as she pressed harder into the kiss. While she was nipping his lips, her hands were pressing hard into his shoulder, making sure he was held still against the wall.
